It is started to provide financial and non financial services in its area of operations to the unbanked population who have the skill but are in need of capital.
About the Job:
Utkarsh Micro Finance Private Limited is seeking a Financial Literacy Team Leader. S/he will oversee the entire management and execution of financial literacy program being implemented under the flagship of Samutkarsh Welfare Services (SWS), funded by various development funders.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to bring financial literacy programs approachable to every client of Utkarsh;
- Interface and conduct outreach with field trainers and groups to secure locations to host classes and clients for program;
- Maintain financial literacy MIS and provide timely report to all the stake holders;
- Hand hold and develop the pool of trainers at ground level;
- Maintain records and oversee entry of program client statistics into the database;
- Attend and participate in regular staff meetings and planning meetings;
- Provide monthly board reports on respective programs and responsibilities;
- Participate in community meetings and committees as assigned;
- Document best practices of financial literacy and help in developing and improving the existing material on financial literacy.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Rural Development, Social Work, Socialogy;
- Prior training or teaching experience is required. Applicants may be asked to do a “test training” as part of the interview process;
- Familiarity with principles of adult learning and classroom management is required;
- Excellent knowledge of financial literacy subjects is required. Past experience teaching financial literacy in any microfinance context is strongly preferred;
- Candidates should have demonstrable experience managing complex programs or projects where data collection and interpretation was a priority;
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience successfully presenting complex information to large and small groups;
- Superior to excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
- Knowledge of Hindi/Local language of Eastern Uttar Pradesh will be an added advantage.
