Roles and Responsibilities:

URC is seeking an energetic, progressive individual to fill the position of Senior Advisor – Reproductive Health, Maternal, Newborn Child Health (MNCH) and Adolescent Health for our office in New Delhi, India. This position will serve as the technical lead and provide overall guidance for project activities aimed at fulfilling the R-MNCH+A strategy in India

Key responsibilities:

Provide overall planning, implementation, technical, and management responsibility for all regional activities. Provide vision for the program design and strategic technical input. Establish administrative and technical oversight framework to monitor and assure progress towards achievement of the project goals and objectives. Ensure that technical assistance and expertise is provided in a timely and responsive manner, and is of high quality. Oversee the technical staff and provide support as needed Establish collaborative working relationship with directors, sharing lessons learned and best practices. Other or additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications: Have a minimum of a Master’s Degree, ideally in public health; social sciences; international development; or other health related or management related field. 5- 10 years field experience with demonstrated abilities managing and implementing international development projects in multiple regions. Minimum of 3 years experience with multi-year projects or research activities pertaining to maternal and child health or fistula care projects. Demonstrated experience managing decentralized teams. Required to have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentations skills in English. Ability to engage effectively with a range of different stakeholder groups, including clients/donors, public/private sector officials, and partners, as evidenced past professional responsibilities. Proficiency in a second language a plus. Experience with USAID programs highly desired.
