Ujjivan is an MFI based in Bangalore, India. Its primary focus is on providing financial services to the urban and semi-urban economically active poor women. In a jointly funded program with staff, Ujjivan provides emergency relief from natural and manmade disasters to customers and staff across the country. Healthcare, education, and vocational training programs are also provided to the customers in collaboration with its sister non-profit organization, Parinaam Foundation.

About the Job:
Ujjivan is seeking a Distribution Manager. S/he will head the Mumbai region in terms of business, profitability, and people angle. The position is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

•     Identify and develop business in new work areas, increased penetration in existing work areas;
•     Incharge of overall responsibility for the business of branches under control;
•     Monitoring branch and field level processes implementation;
•     Drive targets on business growth (through disbursements and loan outstanding) in existing branches;
•     Profitability through effective business management practices, cost management measures, portfolio quality through control mechanisms, credit processes;
•     Build strong customer connect with the field staff through close interactions meetings, functions and training programs, and develop a customer organization;
•     Coordinate with parinaam foundation to extend microfinance plus programs for the customers;
•     Drive performance based work culture that recognizes and rewards merits.

Qualifications:

•     Graduation (any stream);
•     Post Graduation – PGDM/MBA (full time/part time) in Rural Management, Sales and Marketing;
•     Minimum of 8 years of work experience in sales management through a team;
•     High levels of interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
•     Strong leadership capabilities;
•     Prior experience in financial services industry preferred.
