About the Job:
MicroSave is seeking a Digital Financial Services Consultant. S/he will provide advisory/technical assistance to clients using own insights and MicroSave'€™s database of resources. S/he will also be involved in field research geared towards providing market-led solutions to financial services.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
    Work with mobile network operators, retail banks, and other third party service providers building agent networks to offer financial services;
    Conduct interviews with providers, completing market research with clients, and analyzing data collected to determine trends.
Qualifications:
    Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or Social Sciences;
    At least 3 - 5 years professional experience in MNOs/mobile money, retail banking (focusing on electronic/mobile financial systems);
    Experience of working with international donor agencies promoting financial inclusion will be an added advantage;
    Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, including flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet challenging and often changing deadlines;
    Analytical and problem solving skills of a high order, including the ability to formulate recommendations and advice;
    Highly developed computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
    High quality English speaking and writing ability and a professional demeanor;
    Strong networking skills;
    Proven ability to work effectively in different cultures, communities, and with different project teams;
    High degree of self drive, enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to work under minimal supervision;
    Strong communications skills, specifically presentation skills, training skills, and the ability to conduct qualitative research;
    Comfortable working in unstructured environments with high levels of uncertainty;
    Ability to work under pressure yet deliver on time with attention to detail and accuracy;
    Flexibility and willingness/ability to travel.
