About the Organization:
M-CRIL was established in 1998 by EDA Rural Systems. It was based on EDA Rural Systems' development sector experience and in response to the need for an agency that would provide a robust and comprehensive assessment of MFIs and other financial inclusion initiatives with a view to improve transparency and performance as well as attract capital to financial intermediaries. M-CRIL works globally in the field of financial and social rating of MFIs. It also provides other services like risk management, rating of MIVs, rating of schools, sector assessment, policy analysis, and market research and plays a role in the development finance space across its operational area of Asia, Africa and EECA.
About the Job:
M-CRIL is seeking a Senior Analyst - Risk Management. S/he will work as part of a team which brings together strong skills in microfinance, technical services, sector analysis, and market research. S/he will report to the vice president.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Performing ratings and assessments for MFIs;
- Work on risk management projects;
- Conduct loan portfolio audits;
- Business development;
- Develop and manage client engagement and write proposals for ratings, market research, monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment of programs;
- Oversee deliverables and ensuring high quality written reports and presentation for client and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Post graduate in Finance, Economics or Management from a reputed institution;
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience (banks/financial institutions/consulting);
- Good overall analytical skills (using qualitative and/or quantitative data sets), report writing, and oral presentation skills;
- Willingness to travel (about 30-40% of the overall time).
