Basic purpose
Under the general supervision of the Junior Specialist/Specialist/Senior Specialist, the successful candidate will assist the implementation of agronomy extension activities such as conducting on-farm participatory trails and training of farmers to deliver integrated technology solutions to farmers Collect data from demonstration and experiments and encode data for reporting.

Roles and responsibilities
Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Provide support the implementation of agronomy extension and training related activities
•     Support the implementation of demonstration field days and farmer training on technology and related issues in target areas
•     Support on-farm participatory trials on crop and resource management
•     Assist in the planning and conduct of farmer trainings
•     Recommend the use of herbicide application and irrigation intervals to farmers
•     Support community mobilization activities

Maintenance and operation

•     Support the implementation of monitoring, maintenance and organization of fiefd activities
•     Maintain supply inventory and indicate when research supplies and materials need to be procured
•     Maintain and calibrate machine and perform small repairs on them when necessary
• Support Data collection and documentation
•     Support the collection data from on-farm experimentation and demonstration
•     Record and encode basic data for reporting and analysis
• Other
•     Support contract workers during demonstration field days and farmer training operations
•     Operate vehicle to transport other staff and contract worker to site and get supplies
•     Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time

Qualification requirements:
High school graduate with 2 (two) years relevant work experience

Specific Skills required:

Has basic knowledge of MS Office programs such as Word and Excel or related softwareIn possession of a driver's licenseHas experience in rice production
