In India, URC is registered as University Research Co. India Pvt. Ltd. with Registrar of companies and is implementing the ASSIST project which is a USAID funded program to help enhance the improvement capability in the Indian health system by engaging national and state structures to conduct improvements in maternal, neonatal, and child health along the continuum of care, including through public and private entities.
Position Summary University Research Co. India Pvt. Ltd. (URC) is seeking and energetic, progressive individual to fill the position of Senior Research and Evaluation Advisor. This position will serve as lead for ensuring well designed research and evaluation studies and implemented in an ethical and technically sound manner and completed on time.
Key Responsibilities Specific responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Provide overall planning, technical, implementation, and management support for all research activities.
• Ensure that research and evaluation activities are provided in a timely and responsive manner, and are of high quality.
• Provide support for the collection, entry and use of routine data from improvement including paying visits to districts and facilities as needed
• Provide support and mentorship in research and evaluation to other staff • Other or additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications:
• Have a minimum of Master’s Degree, ideally in public health or other health related or management related field.
• 10 years experience with demonstrated abilities in designing and implementing research and evaluation activities and ensuring data quality
• Strong links with the research community in India
• Record of publishing in peer reviewed journals as a senior author.
